The water industry is very crucial, and it plays an important part in our lives. This may not make sense to a lot of people, and some may think that this isn’t true. Let’s dive into why this in fact is true:
- We all need water. Without water we and a lot of the things we have around us would cease to exist. This is why the water industry is so crucial. It ensures that we all get the water we need. We could survive without gas and electricity. It may be a bit inconvenient, but we could survive.
- There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to deliver water straight to our faucets. People work tirelessly and at all hours to ensure that when you turn on your faucet water comes out. This human element is important because when issues come up teams work together to ensure everything continues to run.
- The infrastructure needed to deliver water is massive and extremely expensive. The very unfortunate part of the water industry is that failure in one part of the system could cause issues getting the water to residents. This is where building redundancies is important to ensure when one part goes down others could jump in to assist.
- The support group is the team that does customer service, finance, human resources, engineering, and IT to name a few. As mentioned, it is extremely expensive to operate a system. This team works to ensure the parts not directly a part of the water system operate smoothly
These points are some of the few items that make the water industry so important. There are certainly others that could be added, and some may be more important or less. These were the ones that came to mind in trying to stress the importance of the water industry.
