Work

Governmentjobs is by far the best website to look for public sector jobs. The majority of agencies use this site to post. You should check here first and sign up for alerts.

Indeed is used by many organizations and a lot of private agencies use it as well. It is free to post online which is one of the appeals particularly to small utilities.

Ziprecruiter is another website to check out. I have noticed the larger private water agencies using it to promote their jobs. This site allows them to post in multiple places.

Google or basically any search engine will need to be used to locate water agencies that do not post anywhere. The only place you will find them is by visiting their website or office.

Savings

Ally is a great bank that has a really competitive savings rate. They also have buckets to allow you to manage your money. You could allocate money for just about anything.

Capital One is another bank that has a nice competitive rate. They also have a nice app with great features. Another plus for some, is they have physical branches.

SoFi is fairly new. However, they continue to pop up with one of the highest savings rate out there. Check them out, just make sure you do your research on them.

Google is going to be your best friend. You need to make sure you look everything up. The rates are constantly changing and research is always important when selecting items.

Investments

Vanguard is one of the best companies to use to invest in funds. They have the best expense ratios and a great selection of funds. The only negative is their minimum investment.

Fidelity is pretty good. They have a great selection and do not have minimum investments. Please make sure you manage your investments yourself though.

Robinhood is great if you want to pick your own stocks. I recommend starting a mutual fund before picking your own stocks. Once that is done, pick away.

You are going to have to make sure you check and research everything. Make sure you do not go with the first thing you see. You need to go to Google and check sources.
