At one point or another we all get a credit card. We get excited and show it off to our friends and family. We use it for the first time without thinking twice. This is where some of the problems begin. No one told us how credit cards work. No one took the time to explain to us how the loan we got functions. We use the credit available and later get hit with a bill. This bill most times shock people, but most people then see the minimum payment. This is what gets a lot of people. They decide to pay only the minimum. What a great deal!
The problem has begun until we later find ourselves owing a lot of money to our creditors. This is why some people decide never to deal with it. They hope it will go away and try to forget it. That itself is problematic. Unfortunately, people keep using credit to purchase items. Applying for credit with this bank and this bank. Always running away from the problem.
These issues could have been avoided if someone taught us how to use credit not just how to apply for it. It is far too easy to get credit. There are several cards out there all trying to get your business. Yes, credit is important since a lot of us will need it for house loans, car loans, and to rent a place. However, we need to be educated on how to use it. The importance of paying off our loan in full at the end of the month. Nobody should be carrying balances from month to month.
